Street of Dreams 2009 Portland Oregon

Today I spent the afternoon walking down the streets of the Pearl District. Armed with my map, camera and a sense of adventure I entered a lifestyle most would envy. The Street of Dreams 2009 is all about Penthouse living at its finest. Each location is a feast for the eyes. With sprawling views of the city and top of the line features, I couldn't have been any closer to heaven. A palette of cool hues was both soothing and inviting. I was amazed at the amount of storage space and the beautiful clean line architecture. Developers and Designers were on hand to answer questions and greet visitors. There was an excitement in the air that caused a stir of positive energy.

Jim Gillespie, of Parallel Development, and developer of the Pearl Condominiums @ Block 90 took a moment to chat with me about the historic building in which we stood. Mr. Gillespie explained that when you preserve and enhance a historic building one of the rules is, that you are not allowed to build a structure on top of the historic building unless it is set far enough back not to see the roofline from the street below. This translates to generous outdoor living space for the Penthouse owners. Can you just imagine it? You don't have to. I have included pictures.
